Whitelist Request Form and Guidelines | Enhanced Whitelist Information | CertifiedEmail Program | Accreditation Service
This following are guidelines pertaining to programs available to qualified senders of solicited bulk email. These programs include the AOL whitelist, the AOL Enhanced Whitelist, Non-Profit Accreditation Service, and CertifiedEmail, a program managed by Goodmail Systems.
These programs are designed to help AOL work with organizations and individuals who send solicited bulk email while simultaneously protecting our members from unwanted email. In order to qualify for the protections offered by these programs, senders should adhere to AOL's technical guidelines and current best practices, which are outlined below.
- Whitelist Request Form and Whitelist Guidelines
This form allows you to request whitelist status. AOL's standard whitelist protects mail originating from whitelisted IP addresses from some, but not all, of AOL's spam filters. This protection can be revoked without notice at any time if AOL deems that the protected IP is no longer qualified.
- Enhanced Whitelist
The Enhanced White List (EWL) delivers mail to the inbox with links & embedded images enabled, and is only available to senders that are already on the standard whitelist. All IPs on the standard whitelist are evaluated for the EWL daily, and inclusion in the EWL is granted and rescinded automatically based on the sending IP's reputation during the previous 30 days. Each IP is evaluated separately. Individual IPs that qualify do not extend their Enhanced Whitelist status to their entire domain.
- CertifiedEmail Program Description
AOL has partnered with Goodmail Systems to offer a new class of email with additional features for trusted bulk senders. Please contact Goodmail Systems if you are interested in learning how to qualify for this program.
- AOL's Pro Bono Email Accreditation Service for Qualifying NonProfits
As part of the company's longstanding commitment to helping non-profit organizations harness the power of the Internet, AOL now offers a pro bono email accreditation program which allows these groups to have their email securely and efficiently delivered to AOL members for free. Through the program, qualifying non-profit organizations - and qualifying non-profit advocacy organizations - receive the full functionality of AOL's email system, including having all images and web links enabled in emails, at no charge to either the sender or to the recipient.
